Welcome to the Coven

Faux Fur Jacket - Zara
Hat - Topshop
Dress - H&M
Boots - Zara
Bag - Urban Outfitters
It's my favourite day of the year Halloween and today I've went for an American Horror Story Coven themed outfit which is a subtle nod to the Salem witches with a black fedora, long loose dress which swings off the body and pointed leather boots. I threw on my faux fur jacket to keep the chills away and grabbed my leather doctors bag to go, for my make up I kept it simple and just added some dark grey shadow to the inner lips to give that 'dead' look. Today consists of running around grabbing last minute decorations, drinks to put in the witches brew, a pumpkin spiced latte and creating my make up look for tonights dusk til dawn party in Greenwich with London's creatures of the night.
What are you up to this Halloween?
Let me know in the comments!

Just Rolled Out of Bed

Bralet - Gilly Hicks
Trousers - H&M
Necklace - Forever 21

I decided on a really casual look today as I woke up at 12pm which for an early-riser is quite shocking I feel as though half of my day has been wasted so I did simple quick make up and swept my hair away from my face. I figured that I'd just spend today in the garden and finish reading Issue 3 of Porter Magazine I have been so busy at work, sorting student finance out and organising things for my sister's prom i haven't had a spare minute so I figured a sleep in isn't too bad.

Creatures of the Deep

Dress - H&M
Blouse - Topshop
Necklace - H&M
Sunglasses - Zara
Sandals - Birkenstock

The fitted structured top of this look made for awkward and rigid photos (aka me in any social situations) but the bottom triangle swing of this dress made for some leg movement making a mermaid-esque silhouette I particularly like the style of this dress how it swings from the shoulders. I feel the navy and pearl added to this blog title as it reminded me of deep sea creatures and finding some light in the darkness of the sea. I feel that remaining more covered up makes me feel more confident and adds more mystery and questions watching how the fabric moves along the body is more intriguing than an open book. I think that this look works well for a transition from Spring to Summer by wearing birks with a sheer long sleeved blouse under a dress adds the combination of femininity and simplicity.

(Disclaimer: I didn't use effects on these photos the lighting just made these rainbow patches)

The Green Age

Dress - H&M
Necklace - Miss Selfridge
Shoes - Nine West
Lip Colour - Bourjois 'Rouge Edition Velvet 06' and Tanya Burr 'Exotic Island'

Here is my first OOTD post I was inspired to add some colour into my wardrobe this Summer as it usually just consists of pastels and white I picked this dress up from H&M and was captivated by the fun pleats and cut of the dress. I found that the green brought youth and vitality to my wardrobe immediately brightening it up hence the title of this post - The Green Age - as much as I love monochrome being young should be about discovering yourself not being intimidated by clothes. I paired it with an equally daring (for me) orchid lip combo which I feel makes the colour come out more on my skin tone, my sister borrowed me her necklace from Miss Selfridges and I wore my classic nude courts which have been a staple for me through Spring every woman needs nude heels in her wardrobe!
