Autumn Beauty Favourites

Autumn has finally settled in the beautiful colours of the leaves changing have inspired my make up selection for this season and we are are slowly getting closer to my favourite holiday of the year - Halloween!

The pieces I have picked out are what I put into my everyday make up bag that add a little something special to my regular everyday make up along with my Autumn scent.

When in Victorias Secret picking up gifts for friends there was an offer to get another bottle of their fragrance mists for half price as I had been wearing their 'Coconut Passion' all through summer I decided to pick a more floral fragrance for Autumn. After smelling them all I decided on 'Pure Seduction' this is described as 'a passionate romance of succulent red plum and sweet freesia' and smells divine this is a fragrance you can get lost in as the heavenly floral notes entice you to a romantic daydream which will get you many compliments from by passers.

 DiorSkin Star Foundation (Shade 012) - £32

I like to wear a light coverage foundation to let me skin breathe for daily use so I bought this new Dior foundation as it gives light reflecting properties with a satin finish this foundation looks amazing on skin thats clear although if you are prone to breakouts I'd recommend using a concealer for those areas. It gives a healthy golden wash of colour to my face and still lets your skin feel like skin.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo's in Pomegranate and Pink Gold - £4.99 each

I love using cream based eyeshadows for lazy days and these shades are great for Autumn and look even better combined, they last all day don't move and the shimmer looks beautiful when the light reflects from it.

I'm never without my signature black liquid cat eye in Autumn and this Loreal liner does the trick perfectly and easily I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to try liquid liner the pen form makes it really easy to control as it has a thin nib.

For special occasions I use my favourite mascara to add a touch of chanel to any look this is the 'Do It All' mascara from natural flirty lashes to 'Is she wearing false lashes? But they look so real!' this is my wonder product and worth the hefty price tag.

If I'm wearing simple make up and want to add a wash of colour I chose to do so with a blush this one from Sleek gives you a gorgeous berry stained cheek but only use a small amount and blend well as it's really pigmented.

When I first bought this lipstick I was going to return it as it is the same colour of my lips with just a shimmer to it and thought it wasn't worth the price tag but from being too lazy to return it I ended up wearing it a few times and really liking it for the 'my lips but better' look. This is a really easy lipstick to wear as it's more like a balm that moisturises your lips while giving them a subtle shine with a slight peachy pink tone this is really flattering on fair skin tones and my go to lipstick for autumn.

Drugstore Haul and Swatches

I'd done pretty well the past three months I'd only bought the minimum necessities of make up that I needed like concealer and eye liner but then it all went downhill when I wandered into Superdrug and saw all the new beauty products shining on display. All control vanished as my bank account started weeping in the distance but to be fair to myself these were products that I had been patiently waiting to come over from America, I'd been good to wait this long!

The next thing I knew I'd bought five lip products in the space of half an hour in different shades of pink... someone please stop me.

I've been wanting to take the plunge and get a Clinique Chubby Stick for about a year now so when I was browsing through the colours in Boots I decided to pick a pink shade as I would wear that one the most and I preferred this formula to the intense one. 'Curvy Candy' is lovely rose pink that gives the lips a stained natural look but noticeable enough to bring attention to your lips, a silky formula that moisturises the lips for hours and gorgeous packaging to match.

I wanted some elegant flats to wear for day and night for times when I couldn't face wearing heels for hours so when I saw these in New Look for £17.99 they matched the description perfectly I love the front lattice detailing and the pink nude with the delicate T-Bar. I find that these flats are perfect for cooler days when you want to dress up some jeans or replace your heels and nude goes with everything.

I saw a few bloggers post about Sleeks 'Pink Lemonade' Blush by 3 and loved the swatches of it so I picked it up for £9.99 as I love the quality of Sleek's blushes they have great pigmentation and last all day and come in gorgeous colours. My favourite Sleek blush is Rose Gold but I can definitely see these three blushes fast becoming my make up bag staple and I've always been intimidated by cream blushes but maybe this one can change my mind.

I love Tanya Burr's lip glosses they have amazing pigmentation, smell of strawberry laces and last for hours and I've had my eye on 'Picnic in the Park' for a while so when I saw Superdrug had re-stocked it I picked it up (retailed for £6.99). It's a beautiful coral pink that adds a cheerful pop of colour to your lips it looks great for added shine on top of my Clinique 'Curvy Candy' Chubby Stick.

Boots had an offer on the Garnier Micellar Water so I decided to try this as I'm running out of Bioderma and don't go back to London until September to buy some more but I don't like how this feels on my skin it doesn't feel as cleansing and purifying as the Bioderma.

I was so excited when I saw Superdrug had an early stock of the new Revlon Colour Stay Moisture Stain I'd heard so many reviews of them from American beauty bloggers and was so excited to get my hands on them especially as there was an introductory offer of £2 off. The colours I picked up are 'London Posh', 'LA Exclusive' and 'Barcelona Nights' as these were the ones that stood out to my the most i hope they bring more colours out in them I love the formula and staying power and of course the chic packaging.

Above is London Posh which is a peachy nude although it doesn't show up on camera well there are gold flecks in it which create the most amazing sheen on the lips trust me this lip stain will stop traffic it compliments bronzed skin and neutral eyes perfectly.

LA Exclusive is a cotton candy pink that compliments fair skin really well it's a classic 'Barbie pink' with a high gloss sheen that stays for hours I love wearing this with a simple black cat eye and rosy cheeks.

Barcelona Nights is a sexy fuchsia pink with cool blue undertones this is a great statement lip for summer compliments all skin types and the high shine works really well with the bold colour I love choosing this for evening make up looks.

So that's my unexpected make up haul have you bought any new beauty products recently?

Make Up Tutorial for Hazel Eyes

I decided to do this tutorial to show you which products I have found work best for hazel eyes and which colours on the eyes and lips will make your hazel eyes stand out more. Don't worry if you don't have the exact products that I am using just use something similar or drugstore products that are similar.

I always prime my face so that my base products will go on smoother and last longer, I'm using the Smashbox Photo Finish Oil Free Primer

I've been using the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser instead of a foundation as it's much lighter on my skin, I blend this in using the Real Techniques Beauty Blender.

I then dab the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on my blemishes, around my nose but not under my eyes until all the eye make up is finished.

For my brows I use Benefits Brow Zings in Light but only the wax part I apply this using the sharp angled brush in strokes building my brows up.

I set my brows with Benefit's Gimme Brow by combing it through my brows this also fills in any sparse areas that the wax can't fill.

I always prime my eyelids as this will make the eyeshadow apply more pigmented and smoother and last a lot longer I use the Nars Eyeshadow Primer as I've found this one works best.

I recently bought this shadow 'Nylon' from Mac I've found it works really well as a highlighter for the brow bone and inner corners as the gold flecks reflect really complimentary with hazel eyes.

I brushed this shadow in the tear ducts, on the first third of my eyelids and on the brow bone this will open up your eyes making them appear brighter.

Using Urban Decays Maui Wowie eyeshadow blend this in the corner and the crease, this shade is a glittery golden olive colour and gold, green colours work really well for hazel eyes as they bring out different speckles in the eyes.

I'm using Mac's 'Sumptuous Olive' blended in the corner and crease as this olive brown will frame the eyes and bring out the brown and golden flecks in hazel eyes adding more depth to the eyes.

I then blended Urban Decay's 'Smog' in the corner which is a glittery warm brown this adds more depth to the eyes picking up the brown pigments in the eyes.

I used Mac's 'Carbon' on a sharp angled brush to line the eyes on the top and bottom lash line.

As these eyeshadows have all been glitter based I used Urban Decay's 'Oil Slick' which is a glitter based black to go over where I had previously lined my eyes with the matte black.

I used Estee Lauder's Kajal Eyeliner in Black to line my top and bottom waterline this will make the black shadow more intense and the eyes will stand out further against black.

I added mascara to my lashes but only a touch as I decided to add false lashes to this look.

I'm using these Kimberly Eylure Eyelashes to intensify my lashes as they will bring more attention to the eye colour.

I used a make up wipe to remove any fallout from under my eyes then applied the Loreal Lumi Magique Concealer under my eyes and used the beauty blender to blend it in this will highlight the under eyes and bring more attention to the eyes.

I then set the make up using my Mac Mineralise Skin Finish in Natural Light Plus I find that this powder gives a golden glow to the skin and photographs really well.

I then bronzed my face under my cheekbones using the Nars Laguna Bronzer which I love.

I find that using pink features for the face with gold flecks in really bring out hazel eyes and compliment neutral eye make, for the lips I'm using the Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait.

I'm using Sleeks Rose Gold Blush as it is my favourite blusher and compliments my skin tone really well and matches the lip butter perfectly.

The Finished Look!

I love how this make up look has turned out and find that it compliments hazel eyes really well as the eyeshadows each bring out different flecks of colour in the eyes while the rose gold cheeks and lips add a romantic flush.

What make up tutorial shall I do next let me know in the comments?
